I work as a project leader in a company that specialises in information systems. I enjoy the job but the company’s sales have slumped badly in the past year. I have a bad feeling about the future and I’d like to move elsewhere before things turn really bad.

I am, of course, worried that the company’s poor performance might hinder my chances of being rehired. What advice do you give for someone in my position?
