This year, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), part of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, proudly celebrates 60 years of delivering trust, opportunity and prosperity in Hong Kong.
CIMA’s journey in Hong Kong began in 1965, when a group of dedicated members established the Hong Kong Centre to advance and promote the accounting and finance profession. Eight years later, their efforts culminated in the formal opening of CIMA’s Hong Kong Branch – marking a key milestone in the Institute’s growth and influence across North Asia. Since then, CIMA Hong Kong has continued to support a vibrant community of professionals committed to driving excellence in accounting, finance, and business.
“Over the past six decades, CIMA Hong Kong has been a key driver in shaping the development of the accounting and finance profession in Hong Kong and North Asia. From championing the value of the profession to building strong relationships with stakeholders, our work has laid a solid foundation for continued growth and innovation. I am proud of what we have achieved to date, and I want to recognise the dedication and vision of those who came before us – their legacy continues to inspire us. I am excited for what is still to come,” said Vicky Li, FCMA, CGMA, Vice President – North Asia at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
“I am honoured to be spearheading CIMA Hong Kong’s 60th anniversary celebrations and to see our community come together to mark this moment. This year, we celebrate not only six decades of success for our Institute, but also the remarkable achievements of our community. Our commitment to advancing and elevating the profession in Hong Kong is as strong as ever, and we will continue to build a supportive, forward-looking community that champions both personal and professional growth,” emphasised Paulus Chau, Director – Hong Kong and Emerging Markets at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
“We are very proud to celebrate our 60th anniversary in Hong Kong, it is an extraordinary milestone that reflects the dedication of our members, students, volunteers, and partners. Together, we have made a lasting impact on the accounting and finance profession in Hong Kong, and I look forward to seeing what we will achieve in the future,” added Andrew Harding, FCMA, CGMA, Chief Executive – Management Accounting at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
